2018 Buick Cascada News, Release Date, Price and Specs
It is hard to find convertible cars in U.S. market because these are typically a very expensive vehicle. But, Buick knows that they are walking in their business extension where it is truly important for them to redesign the current Cascada. Current reports mentioned that the company will reveal the new 2018 Buick Cascada at Detroit Motor Show in January. It is more different from the rivals because the virtual design that will remind you to Opel and it doesn’t come out with the current grille from Buick. Its new design of course will be helpful to support its more unique look.
With the outer elements borrowed from The Astra and the Verano, 2018 Buick Cascada has more unique look. Its front part has a look of European model especially for the grille while the back has Verano inspired design with the same layout and the exhaust system. For the standard alloy wheels, it will be about 18-inch and the top end is about 19-inch.
2018 Buick Cascada has the same dashboard as the Astra Coupe so that it is helpful to make it more different from the Verano. It will be available with the complete redesign. The front end makes great sense. For the seats, it will be similar to Verano’s with the softer cushions and integrated ventilation system. About the standard feature, it has electric soft-top as well as satellite navigation unit while the auto climate control system dual zone will be the optional.
2018 Buick Cascada Engine
There are two engine options that will be presented for 2018 Buick Cascada and the company have a plan to provide hybrid. For the base model, the company will give turbocharged inline-four and 1.6 liter to work for 200 hp and 206 lb-ft of torque. GM will use it for American market and it is the more powerful engine than the old 2.4 liter while giving better fuel consumption and more torque power. For the optional, it has I-4 engine and 2.0 liter turbocharged to provide 250 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque but it takes more fuel consumption. These engines are designed with six-speed auto and front-wheel drive system.
2018 Buick Cascada is linked to Verano and there are no shared parts. It will go with new engine and different running gear. The cabin will be more different from the previous model. It should be ready for the next debut in the end of 2017 or in the beginning of 2018 with the starting price about $30,000. If you need a four-seat convertible car, we think that this is the cheapest option but with new running gear, active shock absorbers for its suspension system and more driving experience than the predecessor.
