2018 Volvo V90 Wagon Review, Features and Changes
Volvo released that they will provide their three all new cars on the market with a complete redesign and those cars will be the high-end executive models started from the XC90, the S90 and the last is the 2018 Volvo V90 Wagon. People start expecting that the latter model will be launched soon in 2017 and those three models will use the same platform that will be the SPA with the highly modular chassis.
Well, it is an impressive car, and there are still very few on the market. The fans of the wagon are quite many, but lately, they moved to SUV. The rest are staying. It is born as a large crossover with the lower ground design and easier to drive. It is a cheap price car, but you may love or hate its design. The front design of new V90 Wagon will remind you of the XC90 crossover and a bit close to the sedan. With the low profile look, it has a flat roof to make it more like a shooting brake, and the wheelbase is about 116-inch. The back part of the car has a subtle look with the vertical taillights so that it can be a big problem for the BMW 5 Series Touring.
Its extensive bodywork provides more space inside, and the design is identical to the S90. These cars will share the same dashboard layout, and the simple styling makes you love it. It has unique environment with the center screen to control all car status. Leather will cover the steering wheel for the base model, and it has better driving position compared to the previous model of Volvo V90 Wagon.
2018 Volvo V90 Wagon Engine
Now, it is all about the engine. There are three engine options to offer in Volvo V90 2018 Wagon. First, the base T5 will go with 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four petrol engine that is capable of generating about 250 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque power. It works with front-wheel drive only and eight-speed auto transmission. The two more models are T6 and T8 with the use of 2.0 liter supercharged and turbocharged inline-four unit to offer 316 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. These models have all-wheel drive system and eight-speed automatic. The T8 is surely different from T6 because it has an electric motor and a set of batteries as the hybrid engine design to generate 400 hp and 472 lb-ft of torque to deal with rivals that have V6 and V8 engine.
The ongoing reports mentioned that Volvo could start the debut of 2018 Volvo V90 Wagon shortly which is in the middle of 2017. It is expected to launch the debut in US market as their primary target. The price has not been set, but we estimate that its basic version may go about $48,000.
