The original version of VW Golf was presented in the middle of 1970 and the current generation was started for its debut in the beginning of 2012 at Paris Motor Show. We could see that the company is capable to provide exciting changes for 2017 model. Constructing on hatchbacks basic but with sporty look, the company redesigned the front fascia with the restyled headlight lenses and the upgraded features inside. It is possible for them to offer new engine options or new seven-speed dual clutch transmission to replace the current version of six-cog unit.
2018 VW Golf New Changes
2018 VW Golf has biggest change on its exterior especially around the up front. You probably couldn’t find out any much sportier front fascia as before. It has huge air dam to complete the corner air intakes that wouldn’t go larger, but will be elevated to make it different from the previous model. Around the each corner vent, it has new horizontal louver design that looks like opposing the formed fascia. The body line is above and it has more pronounced corner vent. It is also has bigger stripped grille that is extended to the headlights with the support of sporty LED stripe. On its side, it has adaptive cruise control or front assist with radar sensor located behind the VW emblem. There will be no much change in its rear. All models have standard LED taillights. If you see the front fascia especially the air dam and the trim on its corner air intakes, it will remind you to Mercedes design.
Don’t expect to find any drastic changes if you check the cabin design. It doesn’t mean that Volkswagen will let everything as same as the previous model. They will go with Color and Trim division to give new decorative trim panels for the center console, doors and dashboard of 2018 VW Golf. New covers will be added to the seat with the use of carbon fiber panel in its dashboard and door trim. It doesn’t have to spend tons of money to give a fresh look on a complete redesign. The most important is updating the infotainment system. You wouldn’t see any existing infotainment systems because it will be replaced by latest MIB infotainment system. It has larger screens and more features such as 8-inch toushcreen Composition and Discover Media systems that are 1.5 inches larger than before. The new look on its features make it more modern and functional.
